Bullarto Downs is located between Hopetoun and Woomelang in the southern Mallee. It is approximately 70km north of Warracknabeal.

Bullarto Downs covers approximately 10,032 arable hectares, , with the non-contiguous blocks spread over a distance of 60kms. As a result of this geographic diversification, annual average rainfall varies from 300 to 350mm, with 65% falling during the crop growing season (April – October).
